artist statement
creating a poster each week, (poster in chinese “海報” means “sea-bulletin”) creates ripples in my mind, like the ebbing and flowing of tides along the beach.
amongst them are ones that i loved, respected, appreciated, and have been touched by in the last 60 years; there are ones from the folks, from me, from the masters.
52 weeks of snapshots evokes images similar to the flashbacks in the moments before dying.
after 52 weekly cruises, i officially step into my 60th year. rebirth of creativity, from the heart, rebirth.
每周做出一張海報，腦裏鈎起翻起的，就像灘邊海水來回蕩漾。
裏面有六十年來喜憂的、尊敬的、欣賞的、感動的。有民間的、自己的和大師的。
五十二周快速搜畫，聯想到人家說死前腦裏重現一生片段的情景。
每周出海之後，就讓我踏入六十之年。創作重生。從心，重生…
