book festival 2004 featured stanley’s signature redwhiteblue artwork
in an innovative and fress-spirited outdoor setting in order to redefine
the public space in the surroundings of the hong kong arts centre.
with the theme city reading, book festival 2004 was the first ever occasion
in hong kong to celebrate the many possibilities of reading in a festive open-air garden where the participants were themselves part of our mobile cityscape.
the redwhiteblue installation was a collective effort by the artist and
hundreds of art students inspiring participants to read our city with a fresh view.
